Community-driven events can be transformative, transformative experiences. When like-minded people, artistic souls and entrepreneurs, unconventional thinkers and countercultures come together, you have a recipe for initiative.

Then you need a suitable location. What better place to represent new technological, artistic innovation than Times Square, New York City?

In all likelihood, NFT.NYC 2021 was a turning point in the industry’s short history. In fact, the event has been compared to some of the greats of all time. Coinbase called it the “Super Bowl for NFTs”, the New York Times likened it to “Woodstock” and Ledger called the event “the new CES for NFTs”.

Thus, NFT.NYC is already making a name for itself and it is intended to continue the development this year, in its 4th installment.

The event was sold out last year with 5,600 participants and over 3,000 on the waiting list. Since then, the industry has been on a roller coaster of highs and lows and NFT.NYC 2022 could not be more timely. The event will create a sense of unity and purpose, redefining the NFT community in a way that cannot be achieved online.

In just a few hours, from 20.-23. June, the NFT community will gather in Times Square, New York City for the most coveted event on the calendar for NFT enthusiasts.

The billboards of Times Square and the Marriot Marquis Atrium will feature the original artwork of 221 digital artists from 17 countries around the world as part of “The Diversity of NFTs Art Collection.”

In 7 locations, including the iconic Radio City Music Hall, developers, entrepreneurs, gamers, artists, investors, collectors and passionate enthusiasts will form one, strong movement.

Parties, both public and private, hosted by thriving NFT brands, will illuminate the city in different forms.

Some notable additions to this year’s Satellite Events’ program are ‘Ape Fest’ by BAYC and ‘Mint Block Party’ at Live Rocket Studios. The latest live shows and community connections can be expected to be paramount, with the artistic inscription of each brand on a full show.

Another notable satellite event is the “Hijack: Emergency Rave Protocol”, which “blends tact tactically with high-tech sound, lighting and an experiential theater to provide human antibody to a week of digital fatigue.

The location of this custom rave has not yet been announced, but we know the line includes British club pioneer Paul Woolford among other prominent names. The words “human antibodies” fully reflect events of this magnitude and the role they play in society and society.

These spaces, each with its own comprehensive environment, will host period-defining moments. A feeling that cannot be put into words will flow effortlessly through the thousands who attend.

It’s an indescribable feeling you get when you’re in the right place at the moment and with the right people. You are aware that something special is happening around you and you are a part of it.

We get inspiration, connection and unspeakable joy from events like this and the role of the NFT.NYC event this year must not be underestimated.

In order for such an event to take place, the organizers need to put the community first, and co-founders Jodee Rich and Cameron Bale have always done just that.

They attract top projects in the NFT ecosystem and welcome industry leaders.

Last year, industry leaders such as Gary Vaynerchuk and William Quigley talked about NFT technology and its potential. This year, more than 1,500 speakers will take the stage, including Immutable X founder and technical director Robbie Ferguson.

In addition, on June 21, a number of awards will be presented in categories such as ‘Best Blockchain for NFTs’ (Last Year’s Polygon), ‘Best NFT Collectible’ (Last Year’s Bored Ape Yacht Club), and ‘Most NFT Project’. (Vee Friends last year).

Almost 20,000 have voted for the award this year and it will be interesting to see all the giants that are coming up in the space get the recognition they deserve.

However, perhaps the most interesting aspect of this year’s event is NFT.NYC’s new concept, “Unconference”. As part of the Unconference, for the first time, two open stages will host over 1,000 NFT community members, who are invited to sign up and speak at the event.

No slides, no sales announcements, just talking. Each speaker can hold the stage for ten minutes and, if he wishes, invite his two friends to the stage. This includes what is truly a community-driven event and is a testament to its founders, who continue to focus on what matters most to the industry – its people.

Co-founder Jodee Rich told CoinTelegraph in an interview: “Our issue is to give society a voice. That’s what we wanted to do from the beginning. We are not an event looking for celebrities – we want the community to feel that this is a place where they can be on stage and talk to the rest of the community. “

In addition to Radio City Music Hall, there will be 6 additional locations to host NFT.NYC: New York Marriott Marquis, Palladium Times Square, The Edison Ballroom, The Edison Rooftop, The Town Hall and Margaritaville Resort Times Square.

Radio City’s NFT.NYC programming will be hosted by Coinbase’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, backed by Ripple’s influential payment protocol.

Coinbase said: “NFT.NYC brings together the diverse, international NFT community of authors, developers, companies, projects and educators for an inspiring exchange of ideas. We are excited to introduce NFT.NYC “.

David Schwartz, CTO at Ripple, added: “After a positive experience of participating in NFT.NYC 2021, Ripple is excited to continue our partnership in 2022 as a Platinum Stage Sponsor. We look forward to further demonstrating the long-term utility and benefits possible for NFTs with XRP Ledger.

With over 300 sponsors, this year NFT.NYC is a huge collaborative project and will undoubtedly resonate through the centuries.

If you are somewhere near New York, you can still purchase NFT.NYC 2022 tickets by credit card or cryptocurrency. At the time of writing, you can still purchase last minute tickets through their website.

This has been turbulent for NFT enthusiasts and I expect the community to respond with a focused unity, purpose and commitment to technology.
